Park Cottage

This cottage was perfect! Great location (between the ferry and Kirkwall), beautiful quiet and peaceful. The cottage was a great size for our group of 4. Everyone had their own beds (two sharing a room) and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and they had very thoughtful left us some milk. We loved our time here and were sad to leave.

The cottage is delightful, situated on a quiet road on the outskirts of a small village. The view across the small loch offered something different to see every day. The location is perfect for exploring the islands of Orkney, and the vicinity to Kirkwall and its airport was perfect. The bungalow was perfect for my mother, who has mobility issues.

Clean with everything you would need

Brilliant location- close to Kirkwall but in a much quieter location. The cottage is wonderfully comfortable and clean and exceptionally well equipped. Having stayed there before, I knew that Morag would have popped some milk in the fridge and that the kitchen had all the necessary basic supplies such as salt and cling film. It makes such a difference to not have to pack up the entire kitchen for a trip! Over and above that there was a plentiful supply of delicious Orcadian biscuits awaiting our arrival. It has been two years since my last stay and the owner has upgraded a few things- the bathroom has been completely redone and there is very good wi-fi. As in our previous stay, the seating in the lounge is very comfortable after a long day and the heating is really easy to adjust. The beds are really comfortable and there is so much space to store belongings. The location is very peaceful- I was able to work with no distractions from outside and the nights are so peaceful that I actually slept better than at home. Plenty of parking space too- right outside the door.

I cannot fault the cottage at all.

Quiet location within easy access of Kirkwall. Well appointed, spotless and nice touches with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided which was great with our late arrival. Host was very helpful with advice prior to our stay and sorted out a minor problem promptly when it arose. Would strongly recommend Park Cottage.
