Park Cottage

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND PARK COTTAGE!!! This was by far the BEST Booking.com accommodation we have EVER stayed in...... BEST EQUIPPED with EVERYTHING YOU NEED.......even some groceries!!!! RONNIE and his partner were there to greet us on arrival. He even organized 2 fishing rods for my husband and son to fish in the loch, which is located right across the road from the cottage🙏. The cottage was SPOTLESSLY clean and SPACIOUS and never felt overcrowded for the 5 of us!!!!!!! The 3 bedrooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable!!!! St. Mary's is perfectly situated, close to the Italian Chapel, and 10 minutes drive from St. Margaret's Hope ferry terminal. Thank you so much, Ronnie. You were a perfect host!!! We loved our time at the cottage and will definitely be back!!!!! Love from SA 🇿🇦

EVERYTHING!!

Ronnie was attentive and super helpful with directions, area recommendations. Beautiful garden for kids to play, well equipped kitchen, close to ferry at St. Margaret’s Hope. Lots of information to refer to in the cottage re: the area! Lovely updated bathroom and laundry room!

No issues with property. Booking.com needs to update location. When we booked it said the cottage was in Kirkwall, we received an email after booking saying that wasn’t the case. Was absolutely no problem for us to be outside of Kirkwall, much quieter and peaceful to be in St Margaret’s but would be helpful to have a more accurate location. Have absolutely no complaints about cottage and hosts!

The cottage was perfect for us. And the location was great! We were met on arrival and Ronnie was great at keeping any info to us! The cottage is very well equipped. The back garden is massive!! Stunning views. Slight noise from traffic passing but didnt bother us at all! We would certainly stay again!

Idyllic location facing a small loch. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped.

It was fine for 2 of us, but if there have been 5 people, the number the cottage can accommodate, it would have been a struggle with just one toilet.

The location was delightful overlooking the Scapa flow and on the bus route with bus stops within 5 or 10min walking distance depending on direction of travel. The owners were wonderfully helpful and offered information on the area and in particular the variety of bus tickets available including the day tripper option, which we made good use of.

The location is approximately 10 minutes by road outside of Kirkwall which required transport from Kirkwall airport to the accommodation. We arrived on the last air flight of the day and the airport closed 30 minutes after. I had planned to call a taxi on landing as didn't want to arrange in advance in case our flight was delayed for any reason, but in retrospect, would advise organising onward travel to the accommodation. Our hosts kindly collected us when we contacted them, and delivered us by car to the accommodation for which we were very grateful.
