"great friendly service and a lovely cottage"

We arrived at Cow Byre with a warm welcome from the hosts. They have been so helpful as we had to change plans a few times. The cottage is very deceiving it’s big inside with good size rooms. Everything we needed for the weekend.

The cottage was very comfortable, the owners were very nice and had left a welcome pack which was an unexpected treat. Walks on the doorstep, close to some tourist attractions, although only about 2 miles from a main A road you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, very peaceful, lovely dark sky's too

Tv's in all the main rooms, but only the living room one worked due to aerial reception - missed watching the news in bed, but that's a real first world problem, and only a very minor issue.

The location was fantastic, the property was bigger than we expected, the private outdoor area at the back was lovely, it was good to have a smart TV, the hosts were very friendly and went above and beyond what we expected by leaving us milk and bread and fruit.

Cleanliness could have been a little better, there were a few cobwebs, and the blind in one of the bedrooms was broken.
