The rocks behind the building and nice flowers in garden.

The apartment felt like being inside a cave: very low ceilings, dark, damp, and unpleasant. The tiny substitute kitchen was unhygienic and not suitable for preparing meals. All of our clothes stayed damp even inside our suitcases after coming home. The bathroom was narrow, old, poorly ventilated, and uncomfortable. Our rest was disturbed by loud cleaning noise above us at 8:00 AM, people moving overhead, and a washing machine running outside our window. The closest beach was rocky and dangerous to swim, while the sandy beach was 2 km away with a difficult uphill return. The listing was misleading because the exact room photos were not clearly shown before payment. This room was only suitable for one person, not two adults, and the price was far too high for such a below-basic standard.

De locatie was aan de rand van Mondello aan de kust. Je kon er prima parkeren. Het appartementje was gezellig ingericht en je had een privé terrasje.

Het was gehorig. Ook was in een kast naast de voordeur een apparaat (koeling?) opgesteld die onregelmatig aan sloeg en daar werden wij wakker van. Het na raam stond open (met hor) en de eigenaar (die er boven woont) ging de eerste ochtend na onze aankomst lekker buiten schoonmaken en wassen. Na een lange reisdag was het niet prettig om om 7:45 am te worden gewekt. Warm water was niet aanwezig in het keukentje zodat wij de afwas deden in de badkamer. Die badkamer had 5 jaar geleden vervangen moeten worden, deze was op. Eigenlijk had dit appartement niet verhuurd mogen worden omdat er een vreselijk riool probleem is. Het stonk bij binnenkomst naar riool ondanks elektrische luchtverfrissing.

Zona tranquilla fuori dal caos di Mondello ad agosto , in Collina ( zona Addaura ) con una splendida visuale sul mare dall giardinetto . Il proprietario abita,al piano sopra quindi sempre disponibile per qualsiasi problema possa insorgere .. La struttura offre tutto ciò di cui uno necessità per poter vivere la vacanza in libertà ( come in un proprio appartamento ) . Dotato anche di asciugatrice e ferro da stiro in comune . Sulla,strada principale passano i mezzi pubblici per Palermo e la spiaggia di Mondello . La zona di Addaura non è sabbiosa ma l'accesso al mare è facilitato , sono comunque presenti ombrelloni e docce .

La struttura è senza finestre interne , ma ha un grande finestrone all'ingresso , prima di arrivare ce una salita abbastanza pendente dove arrivano solo mezzi propri .

Zona periferica tranquilla, parcheggio gratuito difronte a casa

Casa angusta senza ricircolo d'aria a parte la portafinestra d'ingresso era presente solo una piccola finestra in alto. C'era odore di umidità. La cucina è minuscola e gli elettrodomestici sono posizionati su uno scaffale nell'antibagno.... L'alloggio dista qualche chilometro dalle spiagge di Mondello quindi è necessario essere automuniti anche perché la strada per raggiungerlo è in salita....

Il nostro soggiorno è stato bellissimo. L'accoglienza è stata ottima ed abbiamo ricevuto un trattamento caloroso. Speriamo di ripetere presto l'esperienza presso lo stello alloggio.

Bella posizione con vista panoramica

Su Booking la struttura è descritta come situata sul mare. Sarebbe più corretto scrivere vista mare panoramica e anche le distanze non sono molto veritiere. Noi ci siamo trovate a dover stare fuori dalla mattina alla sera in ciabatte e costume perché la spiaggia era a 25 minuti a piedi. Il centro anche di più . La nostra scelta era ricaduta su questa struttura proprio perché descritta come sul mare e centrale , quindi adatta a persone che come noi sono arrivate in aereo senza mezzo di trasporto. Impensabile andare avanti e indietro più volte al giorno in ciabatte e neanche con scarpe col tacco. La strada è in salita non molto illuminata e con buchi . Sapendolo , si può scegliere eventualmente di portarsi delle sneakers .

Comfortable and lovely green scenery

It was hidden away from the view of the beautiful sea. I wanted to see more of the sea view as it was very limited.

Beautiful views across towards the sea in the distance and the mountains behind. Stunning garden and plants. A lovely terrace to sit on which felt secluded and private. A wide range of facilities including an oven, hob and microwave for self-catering needs. There was also a washing machine available to use. The apartment and bed was extremely comfortable and safe in a quiet location with parking available outside. The hosts were warm, friendly and helpful throughout.

Nothing. None of these were a problem for us but they might be for other guests… The coffee machine did not seem to work and the tv was awaiting repair. The walk up and down the hill to the beach is tough in the heat so a car is useful to have here.

Great hosts with a really nice, clean apartment with great air con which was essential with it being 30+ degrees every day. Close to Mondello and some other beach clubs. 806 bus into Palermo goes regularly. Very handy location. Overall we had a great trip and loved staying here. Access to a washer was a great plus.

A big hill up to the apartment but that's all I could say. Would definitely stay again.
