Host helped with parking, which in Monopoli can be challenging

We had a great stay at Mauro’s apartment in Monopoli. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the town and close to everything, including a small market just around the corner. The apartment was spotless, and we were provided with plenty of bath towels, which was really nice. Mauro was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. He even drove us to the train station when we left, which was a kind and thoughtful gesture. The key collection process was quick and seamless, and we appreciated the welcoming touches, like the crackers and bottle of water waiting for us in the kitchen. The air conditioning was fantastic, keeping the space cool and comfortable in the warm weather. The apartment has a small kitchen with basic utensils, which was enough for our short stay.

There were a few things that impacted our experience. The apartment is located on the ground floor, and the living room felt quite dark, especially since we had to keep the shades closed for privacy. The layout involves steep stairs leading to the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, which could be a bit of a hassle. The biggest downside was the noise—since the bedroom is near the entrance of other apartments, we were frequently woken up early in the morning and night by others coming and going. Overall, if you’re looking for a central, clean, and well-maintained apartment, this is a good choice. Just be aware of the potential for noise and steep stairs.

Nothing too much, bed not the softest but okay.

Everything was perfect and then there was the roof terrace - Wow, whether sunbathing enjoying breakfast or an evening meal I loved it up there. Hosts were so welcoming and friendly and kept in touch during our stay. Location, lovely little bakery and mini market close by for essentials with a supermarket only 10 mins walk. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Although quiet in the day, when we enjoyed just wandering through the tiny streets and around the harbour - the area comes alive in the evening.

That we had to leave! Maybe the 37 steep steps up to the apartment but we got used to them.

Amazing location right in the heart of the old town of Monopoli. Mauro was kind enough to pick us up from the train station, carried all our luggage and showed us the place. He was also readily available during our entire stay and assisted us promptly with anything we needed. The apartment was equipped with everything you’d need. Wifi was great, AC worked well, washing machine was very handy for our long trip. The place was very tidy and has everything you need at your doorstep including restaurants, supermarkets etc!

Nothing to say other than that the street can be a bit loud at night due to being so busy. This doesn’t last past midnight though.
