Casa da Ti Maria Pereira

This was my favourite part of the trip and I wish we had stayed longer! The hosts were incredibly kind and eager to help us and the apartment was perfect for rest while seeing the area. The location was perfect, the set of the room was great and had everything we needed. We felt spoiled by the breakfast each morning and the treatment we got here.

Fantastic place - whole village and especcially house from Maria and her husband. Really climatic place - and additionally Fernando knows a lot of interesting information about Monsanto & history. You have to remember about narrow streets of the village - but hosts are supporting with baggage transport with electric car :) From Maria you're receiving precise information where to meet, park the car, restaurants, baggage transport etc. very proactive contact and support. Very good breakfast. If we'll be around Monsanto once again, for sure we'll stay here again :)

Wonderful to stay in Monsanto and really take time to experience the town. Wonderful host that despite speaking little English was very helpful in booking us dinner, making us a beautiful breakfast and transported our bags up and down the hill in her little car. It would NOT be possible to stay in Monsanto without this help it’s just too hilly! Comfy bed, spacious apartment very dark and quiet at night. Easy access to walk to castle first thing in morning. Beautiful views in town

The property is perfect- however Monsanto is hilly and cobbled so be prepared for that, bring sneakers and a small bag!

Eloiza went out of her way to make our stay a wonderful experience in Monsanto. The apartment is very clean and tidy. We enjoyed the many personal touches.

Eloiza made us feel right at home. The room was charming, breakfast delicious, location perfect for exploring Monsanto. Would definitely recommend!

Everything was great!

The instructions for handling pick-up from the town's edge parking lot were perfect (can't drive in due to small roadways). The cute home is exactly how it appeared in pictures. There was good Wifi, heating, and hot water for the shower. All necessary toiletries, coffee, tea, and breakfast were provided. In addition, when the host tried to help us make dinner reservations and learned all the restaurants were closed for a party, she made us a wonderful dinner at her place instead. She also provided a labeled map that in conjunction with our prior research, helped us make sure we didn't miss anything interesting while we were in town.

While not uncommon in small, remote towns around the world, we were unaware that this was one where we couldn't flush toilet paper (it wouldn't have been a deal-breaker, but was a surprise). Also, not specific to this property, but be aware if you decide to stay overnight anywhere in the town, there is a church bell that tolls every single hour, including overnight. If you're a light sleeper, it will wake you up. In addition, the bed was the standard hard Portuguese mattress.

A calm oasis with the nicest proprietor we have ever met over many years of travel . Elena is a gem and Monsanto exudes tranquility.
