Casa da Ti Maria Pereira

This property is cozy and comfortable nestled in the center of this charming boulder filled wonder of a village. The property is a quick walk up to the castle and a fascinating stroll through the boulder laden streets. Eloiza is an amazing host. She met us at the town square and delivered our luggage to the property, a two minute ride and a five minute walk. It was raining when we arrived and she brought us delicious vegetable soup, home made cookies and delicious full bodied wine from the Monsanto region. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Eloiza gave us excellent suggestions regarding other places to explore in the area.

A wonderful discovery: delightfully decorated and full of character

We loved absolutely everything from the time Eloisa picked us up in her tiny, electric car from the upper parking lot with the canons, until she dropped us off again and bid us farewell with warm hug! She spoiled us in between by serving us some delicious, homemade vegetable soup upon our arrival when all of the restaurants were closed, served us varied, nutritious, and delicious breakfasts, and gave us useful tips on what to see and where to eat. Her kindness, warm personality, high level of energy, and contagious smile are hard to match! She is even a great dancer, given her Brazilian blood. As for the village of Monsanto, it was our idea of Love on the Rocks. Highly recommended! We miss it already!!

Nothing at all, except that we now find other places we visit in Portugal dull!
