Having to leave

The host stayed in the adjoining property and was there to meet us at the arranged time. We were there for work so just 1 night and then an early get up. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. There is a hot tub available for those who request it and a garden area with a pond. We would definitely stay again, lots of nice touches - books, board games and having a Murphy bed rather than a sofa bed was a great touch. Our friends reported that it was very comfortable.

There was absolutley nothing to dislike with the accommdation, the host and the area. There was one small thing that took us by surprise when we got a call a couple of days before our booking telling us about a refundable bond that was required. There is no mention of a bond in the Booking.com info but I was happy to pay it and I understand why one may be needed. However it should be clear in the Booking.com information, so we can take account of it when booking. It was an easy transaction and the refund was already in our account before we got back home.

We had a lovely stay at Acorn Cottage. The cottage was cosy, clean and really well equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable break. The location was beautiful and peaceful, making it a great place to relax and unwind. The hosts were welcoming and helpful without being intrusive, and the little touches in the cottage made it feel very homely. It’s also a great base for exploring the surrounding area and countryside. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again or recommend it to others looking for a quiet and comfortable getaway.

This is a lovely cottage with everything you need, lovely gardens and hot tub stayed nice and warm. Owner responsive and helpful. Basics provided like milk tea coffee, washing up liquid

Hot tub price of £30 for the one night not advertised before booking, it just says additional charge, I had asked the question via the question facility but it hadn’t been answered prior to me booking however owner did reply once booked. Price should be advertised in listing.
