Acorn Cottage

Wendy sent us a message in the morning to remind us of towels, met us on arrival polite, nice and aproachable, showed us how to use the hot tub and then left us to relax and enjoy our stay, the cottage is nice and cosy has everything you need, lovely place to relax, it has a beautiful garden.

It felt like a 5 star hotel. Luxurious size, well stocked fancy soaps. The fish pond was well maintained. Spotless and smelled gorgeous. The location is peacefull too. The host met us when we arived and checked what times we would want to use the garden so we could have sole use of it. We didn't use the hot tub but it was a good size. The bed was amazing. I have a bad back so it's rare that I find a bed that I can sleep in comfortably. Bathroom was huge the ensuite was big enough for 2 of us to do makeup etc at the same time.

The locking mechanism for the drop down bed in the second room was too high for me to reach. It is centrally placed so when the lock swings down while you are trying to put the bed back up (which happened a couple of times) you have to put the bed back down faf about with a coat hanger to retrieve the lock and then start again. Having the lock on the side of the bed would make it a lot easier to navigate.

Good location, quite area, well equipped with everything you good need. Very clean and spacious and super comfy beds 😀
