Acorn Cottage

The cottage, which is a little gem on its own, has a lovely garden with beautiful flowers, a little pond and a jacuzzi. The host are lovely and very helpful.

The Wi-Fi was not strong enough to give a stable Internet connection.

Location was good and close to sherwood forest, lovely garden and nice rooms.

Listed as two bedrooms but it is a pull down bed in the living room, to me this is a 2 bed but one bedroom. The porch door in the living room was a fire door, I am not sure why and there could be a good reason but it would have been nice to have it open when the weather turned nice. The WiFi would not work strong enough for any TV apps to work, thankfully there were dvds, the lady came over to check but did advise not much could do and asked for advice on how to strengthen WiFi, we recommended a booster so this could resolve. Towels are listed in facilities but none are provided for bathroom. There are just too many signs literally everywhere that we felt like we couldn't relax properly.

Lovely accommodation, extremely comfortable beds, every room was very clean, thoughtful bottles of water in the fridge with tea & coffee available, nice friendly welcome by Wendy.

Spacious rooms & bathrooms

Great location for our stay - within a ten minute drive from everywhere we needed to be. Easy to get to lovely Edwinstowe village, Thoresby Park and Sherwood Pines. Very comfortable and we had a lovely afternoon in the garden drinking fizz and using the jacuzzi. A lovely weekend!

The garden was beautiful!

The cottage is beautiful, spotlessly clean and everything you could need. The garden is absolutely stunning, you can clearly see a lot of time and effort has gone into it. The hot tub is incredible! Wendy is so lovely, she made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be returning for another stay.

My sister and I were going to a funeral in Mansfield, so stayed one night at Acorn cottage. We had to change the date and Wendy was very kind, and accomodated this. The highlight was the hot pool in in a beautiful garden, that lit up in the evening, just what we needed. Everything is immaculate, squeaky clean and it is a much loved home. You need to take your own towels. It was a short visit and we would have liked to stay longer. Very grateful for the time we had there.
