Ideal location for exploring Sherwood Forest and Rufford Country Park. The cottage had everything we needed.

Very spacious, well appointed, super-helpful proprietor, and easy to find.

And the hosts are amazing nothing is to much trouble and will go the extra mile to make your stay extra wonderful. So this cottage and the Hosts gets a 5 star Review. As we arrived with my 7 year old daughter The lady asked if we wanted to go in the hot tub that was the reason we booked it we paid £125 to stay 1 night & use hot tub the lady wendy asked us for an extra £40 in cash to use it also we booked 2 bedrooms also the lady wendy demanded more money for my daughter to sleep in the 2nd room extra £20 cash was given to her she ruined our stay so we left that night The next morning we and got calls off wendy saying she couldn’t find 2 towels & me must of stole them totally ruined our evening so we left that night i want my full money back

Wonderful facilities that were clean and well stocked. Looked out on a beautiful garden and had the use of a fantastic hot tub.

We struggled to sit 3 people around the kitchen table so I wouldn’t recommend the property for 4 people if they planned to eat in.

My partner and I recently enjoyed a wonderful Valentine's Day stay at Acorn Cottage, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The location is fantastic, being close to the legendary Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak, offering opportunities for beautiful walks and exploring the area. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The owner was absolutely amazing – so welcoming and helpful. The cottage itself was perfect; it had everything we could possibly need and more. It truly felt like a home away from home. We had an absolutely fantastic time, and it made our Valentine's Day extra special. The location was also ideal, being close to both a pub and local shops, which was very convenient. We will definitely be booking Acorn Cottage again, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway, especially those wanting to explore the beauty of Sherwood Forest.
