TS Beach House

The location was quite decent in terms of the accessibility of various activities and grocery stores. Though it was on the ocean front, it cannot be called as a beach front property since it is more like a fishing village and you see fishermen boats right in front of the apartment. The nearest beach is at least 1 kilometre away. Having said that, the peace and simplicity of the place that you get to stay in will give you the perfect vibe of their local culture. The host Mr. Tung was literally a call away and always came up with a solution whenever we reached out.

Speaking of the kitchen, we were provided all the facilities. Though a microwave in the kitchen could have been an icing on the cake. Also, the water touching the shores of the entire village cannot be termed as clean water.

1. From the photos the house gives you the impression that is on the beach, but is actually a harbour there, there are only rocks and you couldn’t enter the water. 2. The place was not clean, it was a moldy smell. 3. There was a big cockroach that showed up on the kitchen counter. 4. The access to the rooms is done through exterior stairs, which are not covert at all so if you want to go from the kitchen to the bedroom you have face the weather conditions (rain, wind, high temperature). And the stairs are really bad, very poor construction, slippery, small, always having to hold onto something to not fall on them, extremely difficult to try and take luggages up or down those stairs. 5. The neighbourhood is like a “favela”, I cannot describe it otherwise. We ended up staying there only for a few hours, it was really unpleasant.

House design is unusual for the location - glass, metal and concrete in the middle of local fisherman village. Personal beachfront terrace with sunbeds, boats at sunset, 5 minutes taxi to downtown port and market.

Some house amenities like doors need repair. Beach entry needs stairs. Local village life is noisy, can be disturbing in the evenings and mornings,

host was very helpful, the apartment is in a very quiet area, the only thing you can hear is the sound of the waves, I love it. it's about 3km to the city and you have to commute by scooter

Nothing at all. It was a nightmare.

Worst location. Host is not true to the premise details. It’s the fishing coast.. there is no beach so it is no where beachfront property. Host is scamming people and booking.com is allowing it. Host will not allow cancellation 24-48 hrs post your booking because he knows nobody will stay if they see the actual condition of the place n it’s surroundings. There are similar TS, HS and several others properties which are worst and are hosted by the same guy. They are there on Airbnb too just skip this place. Reviews are getting manipulated. Actual reviews are deleted n false reviews are uploaded. I booked the place for 6 nights and left within 5 mins of entering the premises as it is adjacent to a fish n meat market. The lane is so narrow and the locality is so shabby that even a taxi cannot enter. Host is not honest with the details of the premises. I requested for some refund as it was not the beach holiday home that I expected and requested if he can refund half amount to me n keep half for himself but he denied. For my booking I paid $50 per night where as this place is not even worth $20. Instead look for accommodation near khem beach that’s the best beach and locality of Phu Quoc and accommodations are cheaper than what the host is charging for this shabby property. Locality is a local fishing, meat market. Away from everything. Even if the host offers bike it’s no good. You can get 200% better properties and at a way competitive price than this where you step out to a beautiful beach.

The view is spectacular. We had everything we needed and Mr Tung was nice to help us out with everything from tickets, scooter, bbq etc.

Property manager was responsive and honest

There are 2 houses on this plot apparently. One is a modern looking sleek studio (all white) and the other is a 2.5 bedroom non-refurbished property. This is the one I rented. Bad weather had completely destroyed the garden, 3 months ago. It had crevasses, was full of debris and garbage and sewage pipes were leaking dirty water in the "garden". The garden was not usable and even dangerous but host never mentioned it, even at check-in. This is mis-representation. Kitchen is just a hot plate and a kettle. Not clean: shelves and table not wiped, windows grimy, bedroom stank of sewage, months of dust piled under the beds. Bedroom downstairs (a 1/2 bedroom with a ceiling less than 1.5m high) is difficult to access (narrow ladder) and feels like a broom closet. I would never never want to sleep in there... Location in a residential area with very little around: no beach, no convenience store (the one across the street was closed the whole time), no restaurants. Area is also relatively dirty and difficult to access with a car given narrow alleyways
