Little Heatherlea

Location and host were awesome, as was Rothbury itself. Despite the weather, we spent 2 nights in the town eating and drinking after a nice strenuous 10-minute walk from the property. Amenities are excellent, so rural and quiet that I had the best nights sleep in 20 years, with the fresh air floating through the open windows. And the visit to Cragside was amazing Loved our stay

Excellent location for visiting Cragside and exploring Northumberland. 10min walk down to the village and lovely clean and spacious property. Everything we could’ve needed for our weekend away.

Beautiful location. Very peaceful with amazing views. Easy to get to Rothbury, which has everything you need. Not far from the Coast or Inland too. The cottage itself is gorgeous. Deceptively spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The bed and bath were amazing!! We both had the best nights sleep ever! The patio is an added bonus which we luckily managed to make use of. Communication with the owners was exellent too.

'Little Heatherlea' is a cosy apartment providing most of the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. Our host was friendly and greeted us on arrival. The information booklet was informative with restaurants and things to do around Rothbury. The highlight for us was having a 'King' double bed, which made getting a great night's sleep possible.

These are easily 'fixable' things, but a blind/curtain in the lounge and kitchen that can be completely closed for privacy would be good, and the Bathroom towels 'have seen better days' and unfortunately lower the excellent standard of the accommodation.

Great Location very good, close to the town. Easy access to walks right on the doorstep. Good views over the hillsides. Good facilities, comfy and cosy, had everything we needed. Very quiet. Hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Would definatly recommend and revisit.

Nothing to the detriment. Walk back up hill from town, but not the properties fault, took it easy about 15 mins.

An amazing location and such a nice space inside with a very comfortable bed. Appreciated a well stocked kitchen also! We were in the perfect location to view the northern lights this weekend!

There wasn’t any hand soap in the bathroom until we found some under the sink and with bookings like this there does tend to be body wash in the shower that felt it was a miss. As we had a very warm weekend, it was also a shame that we couldn’t have our own ice as there’s no freezer compartment in the fridge but the owners did let us have some from their house.
