I really liked the place. Well equipped, quiet, peaceful, with nice decor. Excellent location. It's close to the beach and all the landmarks. A special thank you to Pietro and Loredana. Best hosts ever!

A small, simple apartment but with everything you need for a wonderful stay. A great location right in the heart of Ortigia, and the garden is a perfect oasis of calm. What a bonus the outdoor space is, quiet and peaceful. Pietro and his family are charming hosts, nothing is too much trouble and he is keen to ensure you have everything you need.

The bed has a very hard mattress, but if that’s not ideal for you, don’t let it put you off - everything else is perfect.

Il Giardino di Lucia is situated on the quieter side of the island but still very near the main tourist attractions. You enter the property through a courtyard and then a final ornamental gate into a private ground floor terrace and enclosed small, well kept garden. It is very peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of lounge chairs outside to enjoy the peace and quiet. Inside the accommodation is compact but very comfortable for 2/3 people. It is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Plenty of storage space. Small modern kitchen area complete with cooking facilities. The modern stylish bathroom has a good shower cubicle. Also an excellent upright washing machine with iron and ironing board. Pietro and Loredana are nearby to assist with any queries you might have. They couldn’t have been more welcoming, not forgetting their lovely wee dog Ulisse. An arrival gift from them of Sicilian Cassata cakes awaited us in the fridge. So delicious we had to get some more! A big ‘grazie mille’ to Pietro, Loredana and Ulisse.

Everything Excellent , Cleanliness, location-practically central-close to local bus service to Railway station. Moreover the hosts are the nicest persons.

Breakfast not included, because the apt had a small kitchen. The private garden/patio was a special, unique treat. It was very quiet in a small piazza.

A lot of care is needed in closing the ancient front door in this 13th century building.

Pietro and Loredana were great hosts, their accommodation was excellent, both in presentation and location. It has all the facilities required for a great holiday and the wonderful added benefit of a little private garden and covered seating area, which was great for a relaxing morning coffee before venturing out to see the magical sights of Otigia island.
