"Amazing cottage getaway"

The cottage was beautiful in a beautiful setting. The views were incredible I miss them dearly. Had everything we needed.

The twin beds in the second bedroom very uncomfortable for an adult ok for children. And the duvets were very thick for how hot it was. Parking wasn't the easiest up a steep hill. But that is it.

The cottage was very clean and was extremely well equipped. The double room was spacious. The beds were comfortable. The heating was easy to use and the house appeared to retain warmth well.The wi-fi was good though guests may need to be aware that mobile phone coverage is patchy (not that that is in the gift of the host!) There is a great view from the sitting room over the Coquet Valley and we particularly enjoyed watching the birds at the bird feeder as we had our breakfast. Rothbury is about three miles away but there is a new Spar mini-supermarket in the petrol station at the end of the village. The hosts thoughtfully provide some equipment for dogs - bowls, lead, treats and blanket- which was much appreciated as our dog and his mistress were on public transport. The local pub was good and there's lots of places to eat in Rothbury. We found the host friendly and helpful
