Wales' Highest Village - The Chartist Cottage - Trefil

The cottage was as charming as its surroundings. Small, lovely and tastefully decorated place in a beautiful Welsh village with small garden where you can sit, relax and watch grazing horses behind the fence. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was perfectly equipped and bathroom was nice. We really enjoyed our stay!

Gorgeous little cottage, fully equipped and a great location. The cottage was very homely, and the cake and milk in the fridge was a welcome treat after a long days drive. Would highly recommend this charming house

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. It was lovely to sit in the garden overlooking the neighboring horses and sheep, go for walks in the mountain. There are a few towns to visit as well and the waterfall routes, need a car for this though,

I wanted to bring my old cat with us, and thought pets were allowed as a fact, but this needs to be agreed beforehand with the host

Everything, beautiful location, the cottage was fully equipped, cosy and surrounded by amazing views!

The owner was just outside when arriving at the little house and welcomed us personally. The house has a very original and nice decoration. It is situated in a quiet area and the little garden is certainly an extra when having good weather.... as we did :)

Perfect location with very easy access into Brecon Beacons national park. Very close to Pen-Y-Fan. Lots of lovely nearby towns with plenty of choice for shops and restaurants. The cottage was lovely and cosy, very well laid out. The surroundings were beautiful and very peaceful. Beautiful horses opposite and some very cute sheep too. I also made friends with a neighbour's cat who was adorable. The cottage had everything we could of needed, host was very helpful and gave us all the information we needed to have a great stay. We were kindly left some fruit cake and biscuits as well as milk, tea, coffee etc. The beds were very comfortable. The shower was lovely. Kitchen was nice and spacious with everything we needed to cook. Living room was very cosy with a TV for evening entertainment. Lovely little garden opposite to sit and drink our teas in the morning with a lovely view of the horses. I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely cottage in a fabulous location. The cottage was equipped with everything we could possibly need. There was a welcome pack of cake, biscuits and milk which was much appreciated. It was clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. The neighbours were friendly and told us about a couple of local dog walks that were really good. The hosts were helpful and approachable. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend to others.

The water for the shower wasn't as hot as I would like, but it was perfect for my husband!
