"Lovely, cosy cottage in a beautiful location!"

9.0

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and it was just as lovely as we remembered. The cottage has everything you could need for a comfortable stay and the owners were very helpful with any queries we had. The fresh fruit cake and shortbread on arrival were also very well received, thank you. I’m sure we will be visiting again!

Our only slight niggle was that unfortunately the WiFi didn’t seem to be very good. It was ok if you were sat right to the front of the living room but we struggled to connect anywhere else in the cottage really.

"quaint quarry mans cottage"

7.0

Good location for those that like rambling etc,as plenty of walks to be had.

lovely comfortable cottage but very dark inside when weather not too good as not much natural light. If weather had been more pleasant than this not an issue. TV a little small and difficult to operate if not technically minded.

"Comfortable but a little disappointing"

8.0

I loved its history and its quirkiness. It was perfectly located ( because we chose it to be). It was warm, functional and great for what we wanted

Where was our afternoon tea gift that others got? We were so disappointed. Others mentioned extras being left. We c Got some cooking oil! No hand rail. The stairs although not steep were deep. The tv reception wasn’t great. How can somewhere be dog friendly yet not allow ( responsible dog owners) the right to not leave their dogs downstairs at night ( to possibly cause more mischief ) than a paw print on the quilt cover. There were stains on the bedroom carpet. If they were from dogs then I guess the phrase “ shutting the door after the horse has bolted “ came to mind. There were some cleaning issues - window frames not as clean as expected, a dirty sock under a leaking ( cracked ) bath. A broken glass. I accept the fact that the cottage is only for 3 but 3 plates, 3 tea plates and 3 bowls is a bit mean. We were left no toilet paper and when I contacted the owner rather than get the cleaner back with some it was suggested that we get it - there is no shop in the village and be reimbursed. Why should we be responsible for watering the multiple plants in the property? Just niggles but niggles all the same.

"a great weekend in a beautiful cottage and amazing scenery."

Beautifully furnished character cottage with proper sized mugs for tea. There were excellent walks straight from the front door and a great pub just up the road. Stunning scenery and lovely and quite.

Trying to find the key pad in the dark wasn't easy .
