Retro Rainbow at Herb River-Highlighter Hideaway #5

We enjoyed going over to the pier in the evening. The outside property definitely needs some TLC and is very run down. The house is old but has everything you need and pretty clean.

I booked the accommodation 2 months back and sent in all the verification documents they requested. 2 days prior to check in they wanted it all again, which was annoying as we were traveling and on holiday and it was all done previously. They also wanted another $50 security with a credit card but the system would not accept my visa debit card and with the security no check in code. All very frustrating and time consuming. We also booked with a pet. The website stated no pet fee, when I booked they wanted a fee. I referred back to the website and they quickly changed it on the site and then waived the fee.

The location was nice. The area was really peaceful and quiet. Driving distance to go shopping was within 5 minutes for general stores and restaurants to 25-30 minutes to get to the outlets.

I spoke with the host by message about all of the issues. He offered to address them immediately but I said that they could wait until after our stay. 1. The freezer on the refrigerator had ice build up on the door and around the ice maker, plus it was constantly dripping water on the floor. We pulled the ice bin out, dumped all of the ice, let it thaw out and reinstalled it. 2. One of the elements on the stove heated up on high even though the control was set to low. 3.The blind was all broken up on one of the bedroom windows. 4. There was dust and looks like gum on top of the lamp in the same bedroom. The nightstand had water marks on it. 5. The plumbing started gurling and moaning our last day there. I guess it was tired of us, lol. 6. There is only one bathroom in the house and it is tiny. Reminded me of a bathroom in a camper, very close quarters.

Nothing everything was nice

The location was great. Loved the coziness of the property and being able to park right outside of the front door was a plus.

Had issues with the freezer side of the refrigerator and two of the elements on the stove didn't work.

It was great. We loved it and was convenient to shopping, resturants and the quietness was so great.We felt safe.This was my first time to Savannah. It was great.

There was no information about the area or Savannah, since was my first time. The deposit upon arrival. But itwas all good

The toilet seat was cracked and pinch our bottoms. The ice machine was frozen up and couldn't use the ice dispenser

The beds were comfy and the kitchen was stocked with the necessities. Also loved having a washer and dryer. Good location and loved having dock access for my dad to fish off of.

Wish there was a dishwasher. Lots of repairs needed and the vines were taking over the house and the outside grill was dirty. Woke up at 3am on my last night to discover the kitchen infested with roach bugs. My kids couldn't play in the yard or out back because the grass was over grown and when it rained the gutters over flowed because they are full of leaves and growing trees in them. The driveway was so bad with ruts and potholes my car bottomed out when entering and leaving. Also upon arrival we were told we could access the house between 9-11am but couldn't get inside until 2pm. My kids was upset about the playground the volleyball was flat, the horseshoe pit only had 3 horseshoes and the whole playground could use and updating.

The house was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Price for a place far from downtown with only one small bathroom. Mosquitoes were an outdoor issue.
