Comfy beds, Spacious Quiet, Rural location Ease of access to property even when arriving late

The property was spacious and set amongst the other converted farm buildings and courtyard, which provided a lovely setting. Great location to Sidmouth and good local pub as well as the fabulous Devon and Dorset coastline.

The welcome was great , very friendly . Extremely helpful Rob , Andy and Rosie and other staff. Setting was great , amazing views. Very open cottage. All the facilities you need . Easy access to near by pubs , short drive to the beach. 💯 will visit again.

we had numerous emails welcoming us but due to this we didnt read to the bottom of one that explained to come to the farmhouse. We did feel itwas a bit strange that the hosts didnt introduce themselves as they were next door. we had trouble with heating system as to us it was complicated to us. We diid ask for advicce when the tv wouldnt work and someone came round but we had already switched it on and off at the wall and it started One thing which did spoil the break was people talking outside the windows at night which woke us up the night before we were to return home. There was also some garden work going on which we didnt know about and vans and equipmnet left on the courtyard for two days, we had been advised on an email not to park our own car on the courtyard so as not to spoil the view!

Set in a lovely location and very pet friendly.

Nothing. We were due to stay for 7 nights but had to leave after 2 nights (it would have been 1 night but we needed to find some other accommodation) because the property was filthy, with dog hairs, dead moths and spiders on the carpet and dust on most surfaces. The plates and cutlery were dirty and we had to wash all of it before it could be used. There is no connected dishwasher despite it being in the inventory. It was taped up and in a cupboard. There is a washing machine but there was detritus in the rubber seal. The walls were rife with mould and damp and 3 out of the 5 staying there had tight chests and trouble breathing during the night.

Everything. I have never given a negative review before but this place was so bad. Because we decided to leave after the 2nd night due to the state of the property were stripped the beds as requested. The mattress covers were stained and had lots of specks of dirt and crumbs on them. The wardrobe in the double bedroom was musty and the odour caused our clothes to stink. The courtyard was overgrown with weeds.

Hi, We had a great stay in The Grannary, thank you - you saved us from having to travel home on Sunday having arrived in Sidmouth and found ourselves double booked! Loved the comfortable feel of the place. We slept and ate well - beds and all facilities are top notch :)
