"Lovely little hideaway."

8.0

Beautiful location, very well renovated barn, cosy, all of the facilities needed with kitchenette, two sofas and dining table. Parking is easy and available right next to barn. Key entry from lock box simple too. Excellent water pressure! Towels nice and fluffy and plentiful.

Spring mattress not that comfortable. Window permanently screwed shut in double bedroom was not great, I understand the May heatwave is rare but it was like a sauna at nighttime without the ability to open the window, it needs a permanent fix really, and also more than just one 10 inch fan. Plenty of heating options but next to no cooling options unfortunately.

It was cosy, clean, comfortable. Location was beautiful, but maybe needs more description about the type of roads: my car struggled on some of the roads nearby. Some clearer signage on the entrance would be helpful (i couldn't find the entrance,) maybe a video walking through the directions from the Royal Oak pub car park to the cottage would help. Otherwise, our stay was fab, very peaceful

It was a shame there was no oil for the heating to. Work has it was rather chilly inside provided connector heaters but a pain trying to carry them upstairs as there wasn't enough for the whole cottage so a shower was rather in a very cold bathroom. Should. Be convecter heaters(sorry) but we did not let it spoil our fantastic stay in your beautiful holiday cottage Thank you all for all your hard work and we will be back thanks again Christine and doug.

"A comfortable base to enjoy stunning green countryside in the spring."

Clean and comfortable with all basic equipment. Ample parking at the properties. Located in a quiet village with a pub and car park with good access to lots of walking trails. Welcome pack including milk useful as no shops for several miles.

"Perfect location"

8.0

The Car parking was great. The cottage was lovely. There were only three mugs on arrival and the host organised another one to come over within an hour which was great,I had phoned originally as we could not get the heating to work.I was informed that it had been turned off due to no oil. Fortunately there was a wood burner and also 2 electric heaters for us to use.Was a cold week so we did have to use the woodburner and electric heaters,.

central heating would have been good.

"Cold, disappointed and shortened"

5.0

The location was great and the property it self was lovely.

Felt completely let down by the staff/owners. We arrived beginning of May, unfortunately, I was a real cold snap. The heating wouldn’t work. When I contacted the property to explain the hot water is working fine we had no heating and if I could locate the boiler, have it turned on. They responded to say I don’t have the heating on during the summer months with supplied an electric heater. Honestly, a tiny 2 kW heater to try and heat a two bedroom house with vaulted ceilings when it’s 6°. Spent the first night in the front living room with the family then decided it’s too cold and we had to leave after asking again to put the heating on we was completely ignored. I wouldn’t book again.
