Lord Byron Lodge

It was cosy and comfortable and warm. Mark had made us a fire on arrival and all the heating was on upstairs too. My daughter loves horses and enjoyed watching the riding lessons from the window. 3 bedrooms were unexpected surprise, bunks in one room, double in other and one double with en-suite. Showers were great with shampoos and body wash, kitchen was well stocked and had washing up liquid. Very easy stay. Beautiful forest walk within 2 mins. Overall, really appreciated our stay, Thank you.

Probably the tap system upstairs. I think if the water head was changed from a sprinkler to a solid flow end, this would be easier. A little dusty upstairs, but my daughter has a house dust mites allergy and always a bit tricky to manage.

Nothing not to dislike !

There is really too much to include and a lot was pleasant unexpected surprises. To turn up to find that the host had put the burner on for us so it was nice and toasty inside. There was basic food provided as well, enough for a breakfast and snack in the evening with drinks. There were in fact 3 bedrooms, not 2, and 2 bathrooms (one ensuite), not one and the master bedroom was huge. The bathrooms were full of different branded shower gels, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, etc with plenty of towels, warm bedding and extra plush wrap around blankets. We wanted somewhere that we could bring our son and dog, that was rural and quiet. We were not disappointed at all and looking forward to going back in warmer weather and with some family members. And for more than one night. The host was also so helpful and responsive. Thank you Mark. Highly recommended!!

Everything - so quaint and so cosy! Bedrooms were comfortable and so big. The bedding was like a big hug. Travel for set up for us on arrival which was brilliant and saved us a job! Downstairs area was lovely - everything you could need in the kitchen as well as some extra touches like bread butter and milk! Host is a superstar and popped in to see us before we left. We can’t wait to return!

As an owner of a small child, I’d love to have a baby gate at the top of the stairs but I imagine this would not be an issue for anyone who doesn’t have a rambling toddler so a very niche and tiny niggle. We’ll bring ours next time as we know what to expect.

Beautiful lodge,spacious and comfortable threw out.on a cold damp nite,we was greeted with a lit log fire,additional radiators threw out,and a Christmas tree lit for an extra Christmas cosy feel,the area is peaceful,enjoyed our stay just wish we'd booked for longer,but we will be returning x

It was cozy and in a perfect location. The price was amazing and had everything we needed.

Lovely stay at Lord Byron Lodge. The host was friendly and gave us plenty of information. The home itself was cosy & comfortable and we had the added benefit of arriving to a roaring fire! Little touches like fresh bread and milk being provided made all the difference to our stay. Waking up to a view of the horses in the fields was beautiful and we're looking forward to visiting again next year!

Could have done with a stair gate at the top of the stairs as we had our 2 year old with us but I'm sure that wouldn't be an issue for others!
