The host was very friendly and welcomed us on arrival. We appreciated the consumables that were left such as milk, butter, bread etc. The location was very helpful for a wedding we were attending and it was good to have two showers. There were plenty of heaters around the place which were able to warm us up nicely and there was a log burner which presumably can be used in the winter.

The beds weren't the most comfortable and the taps in the en suite bathroom were quite dirty. Having two showers was helpful but water pressure was quite poor. We'd also definitely recommend bringing your own pillows.

This was a quiet location, the beds were very comfortable and cosy. We found it a good location to visit various places such as Sherwood Forest and Newstead Abbey.
