"Heel leuke cottage"

10.0

Deze weer even vastgezet. Koffiezetapparaat vonden we wat minder , hij pakt de cups niet altijd.

Location was great, you could walk to the local coop store and town centre. It was easy to access the coastal path. The cottage had loads of character, was clean and well equipped. A lovely patio area to sit and have a drink. We really enjoyed looking at all the art and ceramics ..it was very inspirational! The locals were really friendly, the tapestry in the library was well worth the visit.

"Christmas break in Fishguard"

10.0

Lovely accommodation, new pieces of artwork to look at every day. The bedrooms were large, beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything required for self catering. Located right next to nice pubs, restaurants and shops. Spacious and low cost car park in close proximity.

Only one small thing - Freeview TV channels not available.

"Thank you Deborah for a memorable stay"

10.0

We loved everything about our stay! Living in an art gallery was a truly unique and delightful experience; everywhere we looked, we discovered something special. Combined with the excellent location and the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the cottage, it made for a perfect holiday. This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best property we've rented in a long time.

Can’t find any imperfections.

"Great location and a beautiful and very comfortable stay. Would return"

9.0

Gorgeous little cottage in the centre of Fishguard that was full character, colour and art. A feast for the eyes.

We cooked a few meals at home and the extractor hood didn’t work so I was a bit worried about steam and smells. Opened the window and all was well. A couple of good sharp knives for chopping could be added - just small things

"Wonderful stay at Wallis Cottage and Art Gallery"

10.0

I loved the feel of the place, so vibrant, quirky, and comfortable. There was such attention to detail: lighting, throws, artistic touches everywhere you looked. The large bed was comfy with quality bedding, so we slept well. Although the place struck cold as we walked in, this was soon remedied, and we were toasty warm for our 5 night stay. The kitchen was well equipped. Fishguard itself was a revelation. We had an amazing Sunday roast at Ffwarm (charming quirky restaurant in a former church hall) and a delicious breakfast at Mannings (a former bank). So many independent shops and cafes to explore. I visited Theatr Gwaum to watch a brilliant film at 11am on Monday and we followed an art trail of sculptures (Art Afoot) that took us from Fishguard to Goodwick and back via woods, reed beds, and coastal paths. The history of the Last Invasion of Britain in 1897 was a revelation, as was the 100-foot tapestry retelling the story. We really enjoyed exploring Fishguard harbour and the hilltop fort, and the parish church is well worth a visit with its beautiful stained glass windows. We loved staying in your wonderful cottage, Deborah. Thank you for the good communication and recommendations. PS We drove to St David's one day - beautiful city. Park at Oriell y parc and walk down to the cathedral.

The only slightly disconcerting thing was the height of the doorways upstairs, the stairs down and up between bedroom and bathroom (particularly at night) and the low ceiling descending the stairs- despite the clear warning signs I still managed to bump my head! But then I am 62 and 5 feet 10!! These were very minor considerations when compared to the overall pleasure of staying in this wonderful place.

"A lovely cottage with fascinating artwork on display (with some available to buy)."

Location lovely with short walk to shops, pubs and cafes. Quiet location with street parking no problem.

Slight problem with a noisy boiler below one of the bedrooms
