One On Houghton

Fantastic house with 5 en suite bedrooms. Plenty of space. Location and views brilliant. Wonderfully looked after by Soloman, who magically cleans and tidies up!! Be aware of the local wind, it roars around the house and makes sleeping in bedroom 1 difficult!

Great location, lovely super helpful housekeeper. Interiors generally very nice. Comfortable beds.

No air conditioning- not a big issue as it wasn’t too hot but needed to sleep with windows open.

The property was more beautiful and much larger than the pictures indicated. The location was perfect - central yet secluded. Each guest had their own private suite which really allowed my friends and I to relax, and the common areas are SO COOL and fully stocked.

The caretaker was wonderful and always available , but I would suggest that guests be told upfront that he will be in the house and on the balcony or garden etc, it was unsettling to bump in to him in the house or outside unexpectedly and made the experience feel less private than we would have liked given the number of glass doors and balconies

The Kitchen and Pantry sections were relly dirty and there is a big mould issue in the Pantry - The cupboards smell of mould and the kitchen faucet were completely loose and broken. The rest of the house were fantastic. Mostly the Kitchen and Pantry that needs a little TLC, and just cleaning it won't solve the issues, the paint is peeling in the pantry from the damp issues. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
