The views were excellent and the rooms and bathrooms were very spacious

Some of the doors , especially the main entrance door needs fixing as well as the door leading into the house.

Location is good.

1. The owner and person who cares about house and guests did not inform us about alarm system in the house so were totally stressed when we came back in the evening after the dinner and had to listen 30 minutes!! Screaming alarm. More over we had to communicate with security company and police for more than 1 hour! The person who cares about house and guests did not answer on the phone for 30 minutes! Then he came to the house he was in very strange physical condition. 2. The person who cares about house and guests was coming to the house without asking evening and early morning! 3. The owner is only send us excuses. He believes that it’s enough instead of sorting out problems and provide guests the service corresponding to the high price of rent. 4. The condition of house does not correspond to pictures and especially price. Some areas of house looks like 1 star hotel and might be renovated (pictures attached). 5. Paying 700 usd per night you find Cockroaches on the kitchen! Taking into consideration condition of house, price of rent, quality of stay and especially service (absence) I do not recommend even consider this option. Among 15 places we were staying during our trip in South Africa this option was the worst considering price/value. I do not recommend to rent this house. It’s 100% disappointment. There are so many and much better options in Cape Town for stay.

The property location

Lack of privacy. It’s a shared communal property with the caretakers family. They would freely enter the property at any given time with no announcement. You would find the lady doing laundry in your kitchen, kids playing in the yard. At times you would get a scare thinking an intruder has entered the house and upon checking you find that it’s the caretaker family

The house was exquisite, well equipped, and more than we could have asked for. The service was also excellent and we would definitely return.

The house was amazing. All the bed rooms were huge and so comfortable and the views of the Ocean and Lion’s head mountain were breathtaking. The pool was so cute and used every day. Parking available for 3 cars, one in the garage and 2 on street. We were walking distance from the strip of camps bay for all the restaurants and beach. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. Mary lives near by and cleaned up the house for us during the day. She was so friendly and so accommodating and really made our stay so seamless and enjoyable!

Just some minor faults which are easily fixable. There was a fault in the alarm upstairs and the sensor alarm kept going off upstairs during the day and night which interrupted sleep for one of the bedrooms. The front door was very stiff and we found it hard to open and close. We also only got one key which was awkward to manage with a bigger group.
