Shipwrights - Views across the Marina and River Dart, perfect bolthole

The cottage has everything needed for a couple, and lovely views over the estuary from the table in the window. Parking is easy in the marina over the road. Kingswear is a good base for exploring the area - get the steam train to Paignton ot the ferry over to Dartmouth. The hot water wasn't working when we arrived but was quickly fixed when we reported it to the agent (apparently happens quite often!)

The bathroom felt very dark and dated but was adequate.

Excellent property. Good location. The owner's agents were extremely responsive and helpful.

The view

Lights in bathroom very poor. Need updating. No chest drawer in main bedroom. Unfortunately hot water in kitchen faltered for first few days and scaffolding company came next door.

No spare key in the key safe and the agent told us that there were none available. Felt slightly neglected when we arrived. Felt better when we left. Have to be wary of traffic speeding past the door leaving the ferry. Not good for kids. Really an adult property.
