It was close to the port. The host responded most of the time in a timely manner.

The parking isn't great, and the alley to carry luggage between units isn't even and difficult to carry in luggage. There as a pacifier left under the kitchen table (which we didn't use the kitchen or table/benches...just the refrigerator for drinks). I picked up a few of dead roaches as we entered the property. That was not a good start to the stay. After we had checked out, leaving the place cleaner than we found it, the host tried to say we ripped a chair. We were sent one/fuzzy picture, but the colors didn't match. The host has two units [we were in the downstairs unit), but the guests above us had a large breed boxer mix. They sent us a pic of the damaged chair and said we damaged it. The chair wasn't the same color as the chairs in our unit, and we didn't damage anything. Our theory is the boxer/mix tore it in the upstairs unit. I always take pictures when leaving a property for this very reason. They were going to take our $500 credit card hold and not refund it. We felt like it was a threat to pay for a chair we didn't have in our unit and certainly didn't see or use. If I hadn't taken those pictures and sent them back the host, they would have most definitely not got our $500 back for an estate sale, old chair. They were trying to collect for an old chair that wasn't in our unit. Mistakes happen. I can see getting confused on units. However, we were basically told if we didn't give a positive revue, we could forget about getting our deposit back.

Upper right unit had numerous people and numerous cars that left no parking on the street.

Travel to the cruise ports were close and only about a 7 minute uber drive. Price was decent but like they say, you get what you pay for. 2 bathrooms.

Stayed in the Avenue M Lower Studio, and it was difficult to find at night, had to walk down a long narrow sidewalk that barely fit our luggage, unless turned to the side. Also the cleanliness… upon walking in my family was hit with a strange smell, it just smelt old. And don’t even get me started on the roaches. There were some of all sizes! My family and I couldn’t not even sleep peacefully. Very disappointed with that! I normally am not a complainer but something needs to be done about that! Also, the pillow cases were covered in dog or some type of hair!

I enjoyed the studio overall. It was nice to have open space and be able to be together as a whole. Everything was provided. Easy to use. They even had a steamer which I needed one. I liked the communication as well.

I didn't enjoy the bed that was on the left side corner by the bathroom. As soon as one of my family members was ready to lie down the bed basically collapsed. They fixed it and again it happened. It was a very weak bed with a cheap base. Also we saw about 2 big roaches one in the kitchen and one in the bedding area just crawling by.. I despise them. The sheets didn't smell fresh at all. uncomfortable beds as well. And if you get the lower level be ready to sleep all together in one open area in a corner. 3 beds and one trundle bed under another one. Very stiff bedding too . Definitely need to update their beds. My bil was afraid to move because of the bed collapsing again. The entrance is super narrow as well. We were confused as to where the entrance was . Best to be more detailed and specific as there was some confusion. Basically a garage turned into a studio is what we got.. a lot of open crevices on the edge of the baseboards. Definitely need to cover that up so roaches won't get in. It was good overall. Just those minor details that didn't make us feel too comfortable as we slept. And all that extra work/ cleaning you have to do before you check out. What's the point of the $115 plus cleaning fee they charge if you are basically doing it for them? A bit odd.
