There is nothing to dislike

A proper home from home nothing was missing. After negotiating the quirky spiral staircase bedroom was very comfy and shower room excellent with plenty of hot water. Sara is a lovely host with exceptional properties.

Fantastic stay , the cottage was very comfortable, and attention to detail for the things provided was amazing. , Small touches like the welcome pack were brilliant. The cottage wanted for nothing.. even down to Alexa! The information pack was excellent. Really enjoyed the experience.

A quiet area with stunning countryside where you can walk with ease without the noise and hindrance of passing traffic. We arrived by bus from our home in Lancashire. Plenty of bus routes in this part of West Yorkshire so that you can get around and enjoy local villages and superb scenery. The cottage is very well equipped. The owners are not newcomers to the area as they have lived here for many years and have achieved a delightful place to stay. They live next door and are on hand if you need anything. The garden and surrounding views are very pleasing. You can sit outside and enjoy the surrounding countryside and nature. We saw squirrels and birds just outside our door. We gathered lovely blackberries from the nearby hedgerows and cooked them in the microwave in the kitchen. There is also an oven, gas hob, airfryer. They also provide an Alexa for entertainment and tv. There is heating, a lovely shower room and toilet upstairs next to the bedroom. Although the spiral staircase from the lounge area to the bedroom upstairs can be a bit unusual for some, it is easy for carrying luggage and quite safe. We had a most restful time, thank you to Sara, the owner always on hand.

Such a beautiful property! We loved everything about the place! The cottage was absolutely beautiful…set in the most picturesque surroundings, a real peaceful haven! It was a real home from home … lots of lovely touches like a few little treats in the fridge and an iron/hairdryer etc… the lovely friendly owner really had thought of everything! Beautiful scenic walks on the doorstep, a shop a stones throw away and picture postcard views from the window! I can’t recommend this beautiful place highly enough … absolutely wonderful.

Very good location. Close to a shop, pub and the centre of Holmfirth. Property was very clean and comfortable.
