We were self-catering so 'breakfast' question is irrelevant but it was kind of host to leave milk and a bottle of beer and wine. We loved the peaceful location, the view and the spaciousness of the barn, which was well equipped.

In such a rural location, I doubt that burglary is much of a problem. However, we could not secure the upstairs bedroom window and it would have been easy for so one to climb in.

Perfect location with spectacular views.

Sofa and chairs very upright and therfore uncomfortable. Husband is 6'4" and couldn't sit comfortably in the evening.

"Beautiful stay, gorgeous barn in the perfect location for a relaxing break"

9.0

absolutely gorgeous little barn, beautifully rural away from main roads. decor is lovely and the whole place is well furnished and supplied. perfect for a little one as stairgate, cot and high chair provided

if we had to be really picky then a new mattress on the king bed would be nice as we found ourselves rolling out the sides due to it probably having been used so much so the edges went down. it would be lovely to have a little bench outside to the left of the big windows so that you could sit and look at the amazing view with a cuppa!

Fantastic location with everything that we needed at the property. Didn't meet the host but everything was easily accessible and the key was easy to locate so it wasn't an issue

"Great rural getaway that doesn't break the bank"

8.0

Very nice rural location to relax, the view is great and feel away from it all at a very fair price. The house is well equipped with all you could really need for your stay. You won't be left needing to buy logs, laundry / dishwasher tablets / toilet roll, it was all supplied in generous quantities. The bathroom in particular seemed quite a lot of effort was put in to keep clean. All very suitable for our large greyhound dog during our stay he loved sitting by the fire. Nearby Sedbergh is a nice quaint town with shops and restaurants. I highly recommend the Black Bull for a nice (but pricey) dinner.

We experienced some quite extreme weather during our stay, snow, high winds, lots of rain. The house did seem to develop a few issues from this, the window would blow open, rain came under the front door, and extractor fans debris was getting blown back into the bathroom. I alerted the owner so hope this is not an issue for future guests. A more comfortable / slightly larger sofa might be nice. The ones here are fine but not the kind you'd sink into to rest after a long day walking.
