Bayards - Pet Friendly, Central Dartmouth

The location in Bayards Cove is great. Sadly the flat lacks any views from the windows except for looking down on Lower Road. The kitchen was very well equipped and the refurbished bathroom is good with an excellent shower. In the living area the two sofas are stained and marked; perhaps in need of replacement. The entrance and front door is in need of painting.

Great place and centrally located in Dartmouth. Pretty much everything you could want is in the flat. Was warm and welcoming when we arrived. Close to lower ferry for trips across to Torbay.

Above Dart Yacht Club store. Did get woken at about 06.20 most mornings by bins being emptied.

The flat is spacious and clean. If you want to be in the centre of Dartmouth it is well located.

We booked this property specifically as it stated that it had parking. Only after paying for it with no refunds are you advised that parking is in a car park elsewhere in the town and that you have to park on a yellow line to unload your car. That would be okay if the car park was not so busy. We specifically asked them if parking would be alright as we became aware that a festival was taking place (of which Dartmouth has a number). Fortunately we arrived at 9.30 at night and there were 6 spaces left in the car park. Asking at the tourist information about leaving the car park to visit relatives in South Devon the next morning we were told that there would be no chance of parking again later. This ruined our entire visit as Dartmouth was only supposed to be a base to travel from and it really is not that big a town to keep you interested for days on end. Other than that , the ice box in the fridge really needs defrosting, the plug in the en-suite bathroom would not raise at all and therefore made that room unusable as it never let water out from the first time I washed my hands, and the timing of the heating is weird. You are cold in the evening and then far too hot at 3.30am in bed with it on. They state that washing up liquid and a brush are included. But there was no liquid and the brush by the sink is one for cleaning floors !

The location of the apartment was excellent and the actually apartment was very spacious and well appointed. Would stay at the apartment again and would recommend to friends and family.

We were not allowed into the apartment until 4pm and there was no lea way on this. We had travelled from Southampton and arrived at lunchtime. The weather was torrential rain (obviously this is unavoidable) but meant we were limited on what we could do in Dartmouth so had to hang around for a long time. Some flexibility on the entry time would have been helpful.

Entrance hall smelt. Bed uncomfortable in main bedroom smelt musty too. En-suite tiny and needs upgrade. Sofas need replacing and living room needs an upgrade too
