Host & Stay - The Seel Street Townhouse

Good central location, not far from parking and train station. There was an issue with the boiler, an engineer came out to fix it within 2 hours of it being reported. Overall, I would stay again!

It was very loud during the night, but that’s to be expected with the location. Some of the duvets, pillows were stained - pictures attached

Sofa beds were uncomfortable

Fantastic location, comfortable beds. Spacious and well decorated.

No air circulation in most rooms so the apartment was extremely hot. Shower room got extremely had lots of condensation as a result. Only 2 toilet rolls for 10 guests. Asked for a late checkout and didn’t get a reply until 2 hours after we had already checked out at the standard time.

We completely understood going in that the property was located on an extremely busy road filled with night life but I don’t think we were quite prepared for how loud it would be when trying to sleep - I don’t think the windows were double glazed and it felt like you were outside part of the conversation when lying in bed. That being said the location was perfect for what we visited Liverpool for which was celebrating a hen party.

Property was very central so everything was easy to get too, good facilities, most of the beds were comfy.

We knew about the noise before booking as the company had warned us (and we ourselves were out until late each night) however it is worth noting that the place is situated between two all night clubs so music went on until 6am. Although it did get slightly quieter in the early hours, you could still hear every word of the songs being played. Also, the front rooms then had the noise of people emptying from the bars and pubs. Definitely need a good pair of ear plugs. Also the apartment had a bit of a fusty smell. No hot water on arrival but was solved quickly when emailed the company.

Spacious, clean beds and good location.

We had no electricity for nearly 24 hours. Spent our first night in darkness with no heat and we were unable to charge our phones. No contact or reply from host to solve the issue until the next day and it wasn’t very helpful and responses seemed to be AI generated. Simply not good enough for the money we paid. It really tainted our trip having this ongoing issue hanging over us wondering if we’d get it sorted for second night, which we eventually did. We had to go into various electrical fuse boards for not only our apartment but for the whole building which we didn’t feel very comfortable doing. There was a sign in room about electricity also which indicates to me it is a common issue guests have so I don’t understand why the host didn’t confirm we had electricity when we checked in as they knew our check in time. Also one of beds in front room had broken spring.
