Parking and nice location

Only gripe was the shower as it was a low pressure shower and hard to adjust and hard to see hot and cold - could be an issue if children in future use it … also it did seem to leak on bathroom floor couldn’t decide if it was shower base or splash from shower curtain

The hotel is in beautiful grounds and has lovely areas for sitting out walks and a cosy bar area with fire which was lit when we arrived on a blustery wet day. The restaurant offered a wide menu and the food was fresh and excellent value. The staff and everyone we met were polite friendly and very helpful. The stables ae close to the hotel and we took my grand daughter to meet the ponies but didnt ride this time. The ponies are well cared for and happy and the young people enjoying them are very well looked after and having a wonderful time. The cottage accommodation very close to the hotel and stables was basic but homely and we had everything we needed. There were electric heaters and a large double bed and a single and a childs single all in one room with a loo and shower next door. The lounge was very cosy and kitchen well equipped. The cottage was very reasonably priced and ideal for a family to share, being able to also enjoy all the amenities and grounds. We loved the peacocks and my grand daughter spent all her time looking for feathers. The grounds were very peaceful but the peacocks are noisy, it was no bother to us as we are on a farm and used to animal noises and added to the uniqueness of the place. The woodland walks are interesting and there was much wildlife to spot. This was a much needed break and we were also able to visit nearby Looe, so seaside close by for children and plenty of shops and pubs and cafes. We will be back asap.

There was nothing that we didnt like. We struggled with the wifi but I think we were trying to connect to the wrong service, Im not good with that sort of thing!

Staff are very polite and welcoming we always look forward to our stay
