Gardiner Cottage

Location was good. Beds were good. Shower was good.

The property was fitted to a satisfactory standard, but no more. The sofa was too low and way to soft for sitting on for any length of time. The dining table was fixed to a wall and the chairs were too low. The information and colour coding for the bins was confusing. Parking was on street but ended up being a significant distance away and different location each time we moved the car.

It was just excellent for us. We had visited the area for day trips before and really enjoyed it, but this was the first time we actually stayed for a few days break. The cottage was perfect, it was clean and tidy and very peaceful, with only a couple of minutes walk to the Main Street for a great selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. The cottage was better than we expected and are hoping to book it again for a longer stay.

The cottage did not disappoint us in any way.

The proprietor was extremely welcoming and accommodating. Really good communication. The cottage was very clean and reasonably well equipped. The beds were comfortable, the linen was fresh, and the location was quiet (slept really well!). I especially liked the kitchen (sad person that I am) but didn't use the outside area, so I can't comment on that. The shower was great (best on the trip?) once you let the hot water run a bit. There wasn't any parking directly near the cottage but plenty half a block over, which was no trouble and always available. The location worked well for us as we explored south of Glasgow. We had some great walks and found some great parks. We really enjoyed the Burrell Collection art gallery/park that we stumbled upon quite by accident, easily get-at-able from Gardiner cottage.

A couple minor things that I'm sure will get sorted quickly; No condiments/coffee/tea in the kitchen to welcome with, and I thought the bathroom could do with a few hooks for towels. Otherwise, great.

The location beside Prestwick cross the shops ,the bus stop/train station. Communication with the owner was fantastic.

Nothing not to like itwas perfect for my family gathering in Ayr.

Plenty of room for the three of us. Was within a short walk of a lot of places to eat and a bunch of golf courses.

The accommodation was very comfortable with lovely outside garden area for relaxing. The location of the cottage was excellent, handy for restaurants and shops and having local bus services right on your doorstep. We loved our stay in the Cottage.

Nothing we disliked

Our operators stayed in the facility and loved it so much they keep asking to go back they said it was close to town and there is a couple of bars for food and drink around the corner. Owen the owner is amazing to deal with and couldn't be more helpful we will definitely be booking again!
