It felt like home

No issues. Great for 3 days.

We booked Stoneyfield cottage to attend a wedding with our elderly mother, the cottage was perfect for us especially having the walk in shower for her. It is a beautiful cottage with amazing views. The Cottage has everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday and is spacious and comfortable. We would definitely like to come back again in the future.

There was nothing we did not like.

The breakfast pack in the fridge was most welcome, as we arrived on a Sunday and no shops were open. Plenty of parking and a nice warm cottage with good sized beds and rooms. Everything we needed in the cottage was easily accessible and the location was ideal for our visit. We'd be happy to stay again.

Some of the kitchen units are in need of some minor repairs and the hot water in the bathroom next to the kitchen seemed to be a bit hit and miss. The other bathroom may also benefit from a deep clean and re-sealing of the suite (Bath, Sink and Toilet) as there were quite a lot of woodlice / bugs present each morning. Not a major issue but something to stay on top of.

Very comfortable and well equipped cottage with lovely views across Stornoway Harbour. Very quiet location on small road down to the coast but close to town (5mins by car, 35mins walk local bus services from the road end). Loved the free breakfast stuff provided for us, including the legendary Stornoway black pudding! Selection of games and dvds for the days the sun doesn't remember to shine....

A welcome pack with instructions for the house plus local info would be good to have.

House was very well equipped, everything you could need. Two bathrooms. Location was spot on. Owner was lovely and communicated with us very well. Our stay was perfect.

Great location on edge of Stornoway. Spacious house with 2 bathrooms. Smart TV, dishwasher as well as washing machine and dryer. Well equipped.

Nothing

The property was fantastic. We were travelling as an extended family - 4 adults, 2 kids & my elderly mother - & it had everything we could have wanted. There was a games cupboard & a backyard for the kids, & my mum appreciated it being all single level with an easy walk-in shower. The beds were comfy, & the house spacious. Easy drive into town. The lovely local goods left in the fridge for breakfast was a nice touch.

Can’t really fault it - we all left saying it was one of the best houses we’d had on our travels. The only thing that could have enhanced our stay would have been a laundry basket to get our washing to the line (though I suspect we were lucky to have weather to even hang it outside!)
