Stoneyfield South Cottage

This is genuinely feels like a home from home, Property and all rooms are deceptively large and comfortable, absolutely everything you would need in a kitchen is catered for. Host left fresh milk, sausages, bacon and black pudding which was a pleasant surprise. All in all property was fantastic for the price. And hopefully available everytime I’m on the island.

If there was kids travelling with you maybe some tv’s in the bedrooms, didn’t bother me as I don’t watch tv in bed.

Great location for basing ourselves while we toured the Islands. Cosy and warm, with everything you needed for our stay. Added bonus lovely welcome breakfast pack which we enjoyed very much.

I don't normally give full marks for a stay but this place deserves nothing less! Everything you need for a stay is to hand; kitchen is extremely well-equipped (there are even the ingredients for a delicious Scottish breakfast in the fridge, plus two pints of milk) The beds are really comfortable (there were 6 of us staying and we all had a great night's sleep every night). The location is stunning, overlooking The Minch and approach into Stornoway. Would thoroughly recommend this place to anyway looking for the perfect base from which to explore the amazing Isles of Harris and Lewis
