Salmon House

As usual everything was perfect and this time there was a beautiful lit Christmas tree welcoming us after a very stormy crosding. The place was lovely and warm in arrival and I had the best nights sleep ever.. We had some lovely warm days and walks down the river Creed. There was even a beautiful daisy in full flower on the banks at Tolsta Beach. We will be back again for the fifth time!

Salmon house is beautiful, decor is gorgeous and it was lovely place to spend our nights after touring Lewis and Harris all day.

Excellent location, excellent facilities, owners really have thought of everything and definitely has that home from home feeling!

Very comfortable. All our needs anticipated and catered for. Welcome basket of provisions when we arrived. Very clean and well furnished.

The pictures did not do this place justice. It is absolutely lovely and comfortable. It was cosy, it was extremely well equipped as well. We absolutely loved it. A lot of thought has gone into decorating it and I loved everything about it. The location is easily walkable from town, and also with a wonderful view of the water from most windows. Not to mention we were left with a lovely basket of local goods to welcome us, and it is such a genuinely thoughtful gesture by hosts. I know that when I return to Stornoway I hope to book Salmon House again. It makes both an excellent base for exploring Lewis and Harris, but also a lovely place to relax and enjoy when not exploring. Excellent value. Simply wonderful, full stop!

Having to leave!

The perfect location for exploring Lewis & Harris and an absolute joy to come 'home' to. The house was so welcoming (welcome pack was fab!). The fire, the sofa, the kitchen, all perfect and upstairs, the bed - so comfy. A walk into Stornoway is only ten minutes. There are lovely shops, cafes, takeaways. Fabulous

Nothing not to like

Well equipped, very clean and tidy. Location of the house is very good. There’s also a welcome pack!

Spacious house with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large kitchen / dining room / lounge. Separate utility room which was useful for washing / drying clothes. We could walk to the centre of Stornoway in 20 minutes if we wanted to go to a restaurant or pub in the evening.

Very comfortable. Very central. Enclosed garden.
