Tranquil and cosy cottage on the Somerset Levels

The cottage was so well equipped with everything I would need for my stay. Peaceful and perfect, I was very comfortable and enjoyed it very much

Nothing to dislike

Everything about it was amazing!! The cottage was beautiful! The host Adam was so friendly unfortunately we didnt get to meet Andrea but she made amazing brownies! First impressions was amazing! The bottles of cider and homemade brownies were a lovely touch after a long drive, The whole place was completely private and peaceful! The cottage had its own private garden where our dog was more than happy to roam around and even a field nearby for extra roam space! Definitely will be returning in the future!

Beautiful setting. Cosy. Tranquil. Clean and well maintained. Dog friendly. Good location with easy access to Bridgewater town centre and Taunton. We never expect the villages surrounding Bridgwater to be this beautiful. Alex and Andrea are wonderful hosts, and it is obvious that they love gardening. Oh yes, we must also mention Betty, the Bedlington Terrier, and her many farm animal friends!

There is nothing we do not like about it.

From the moment we arrived, it felt like the rest of the world simply melted away. The cottage is every bit as charming as the photos suggest — full of character, with thoughtful little touches that make it feel like a proper home rather than just a rental. The setting is wonderfully peaceful. We woke up each morning to birdsong and nothing else, and spent evenings watching the sun set over the garden with a bottle of cider in hand. The surrounding area is beautiful for walks, with plenty to explore at a gentle pace. Inside, everything was spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The cosy living space made it easy to completely unwind — we barely wanted to leave! The bed was comfortable, the heating worked a treat, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our hosts were friendly and responsive, and it was clear they genuinely care about their guests having a great stay. We'd highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet, restorative break. We're already hoping to come back.

Great hosts with lovely personal touches such as local ciders and home made brownies on arrival. Secluded and secure gated property so pets and kids are safe. Warm and cosy with a selection of games and toys for the kids. 10/10 from me and the family.
