Dove Cottage, Tideswell

Location, wood burner, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and kitchen with good selection of utensils

Cold, heating didn't work and owner didn't ring back as promised when I reported this. Lots of dog hair on living room floor

It’s a lovely little cottage. Just right for our needs. Very comfortable and cosy.

It was really difficult to get into the keysafe. A neighbour had to help us to prize-open the door. We were sorry not to find any recycling facilities/bins. We couldn’t work out how to use the dishwasher. I think it might need some more salt and something else as there were a couple of red lights on??? There wasn’t anything to mop the bathroom floor with after the shower. It would be better to have a solid door for the shower, to keep the water from splashing all over the floor.

The cottage instantly felt so cosy and a real home from home. Our little dog settled straight in and there were plenty of walks nearby to give him some exercise. The village is so peaceful and picturesque - beautiful! So helpful leaving milk and other items in the kitchen and bathroom when you first arrive - very thoughtful.

The cottage was fully equipped and, apart from a soap dish and maybe a shower mat in the wet room, we really could not think of anything else you could possibly require .

Lounge door draughty, could do with a curtain. Not too keen.on the bathroom/wet room.

Convenient for town pubs shops

Furniture very badly soiled but guess that's because it's pet friendly understandable no outside space for pets

Great location in a village with good facilities eg pubs, restaurants and shops. Comfy beds.

Mostly commenting on small niggles eg front downstairs windows needed a clean, admittedly they faced a road. Not keen on the blanked out kitchen windows, maybe blinds a better solution for privacy. Cooker knobs a little dirty. Crack in one wine glass. A few more teaspoons would be useful.
