A wonderful home in a gorgeous setting. We loved the quiet setting and having a detached house. The home is spacious and very clean. The owners are lovely. I highly recommend this property if the location suits your travel.

this is a lovely barn conversion done to a high standard with great facilities. Jude was there to great us on our arrival and there was a lovely bottle of red wine awaiting us in the kitchen. the scenery around the property was lovely and Phil and Jude had suggested three walks around the area in their welcome pack one of which we did.

a few minor bits of feedback - the welcome pack didn’t specifically tell us where to put our rubbish, we figured it out on day two. I also think the bathrooms on the first floor need blinds. other than that we really enjoyed our stay - thank you

Peaceful countryside. We were there for our son's wedding at the Mining Museum in Newtongrange. Accommodation was ideal.

"Excellent hosts - stunning house"

The house is in a beautiful area and is even more spacious than appears from the photos. It is tastefully appointed with quality furnishings and well-equipped. Phil and Jude are delightful, friendly and helpful hosts ensuring their guests feel very welcome. Additional touches (eg a pet bowl and snacks for our dog, a pint of milk and a bottle of wine) were very much appreciated!

What's not to like? Guests with young children who like climbing stairs may need to be especially careful with the open tread staircase but a bit of extra vigilance is a small price to pay for this gem of a holiday house.
