Very cozy property, both indoors and out. Well kept and tidy. Warm inside, comfy bed. Location is so close to the beach but property still feels like a private spot

Gorgeous cosy crib with everything provided for very comfortable stay. Beautifully decorated, comfy bed, warm and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed a very relaxed 4 night stay here. Sitting on front deck overlooking the sea and listening to native birds. Back deck is large with loungers and bbq. We had no problem with front path to access the house. Very good instructions and owner easy to contact if any questions. Close to the beach and Kaka Point shops are 2 mins by car or an 15 minute walk. Easy drive to Nuggets Point Lighthouse. Kaka Point has locally produced honey. There is a new cafe recently opened in the old school which was lovely for a coffee and a scone. This was a great place to stay at, explore the Catlins and enjoy the stunning rugged coastline. Thanks.

Nothing we did not like. Instruction to lock the door code is to push the # key for about 5 seconds to activate it.

A very charming old fashioned cottage. It's all redone on the inside and outside, while attention was made to preserving historic features. Very private setting with partial view to the ocean. Away from the touristy centre, yet within a walking distance to the restaurants, either along the road next to the shore or via a beach walk. The cottage had everything one would need, cooking facilities, compact cappucino maker, heating, Netflix, outdoor private sitting areas, well maintained garden, even a washing machine. We didn't meet the hosts in person but they were very responsive to our queries and returned the calls immediately. It's wonderful that the owners welcome pet dogs and provide even water/food bowls and dog toys. The holiday home oozes with charm.

Possibly the bushes in the garden could be cut a bit lower to gain even more view of the magnificent beach set on a bay with turquoise blue ocean water. It appears that some critter has taken residence or has a temporary hiding spot under the house. It wasn't making any disturbing noises but our dog could smell something under the kitchenette portion of the house. Please include some milk for your guests. We were fortunate to have brought our own. Besides, there is a store in the village
