"Amazing! Sad to have to leave!"

10.0

The cottage was lovely and spacious with everything you need. The garden at the front was handy with being able to let the dogs out in the morning as well. While the hot tub is in the front, you have privacy bamboo around it and it’s tucked into the corner so well hidden from view. We absolutely loved the log fire. Only bad point, and i think it’s more that we live in a old building, is we were really hot. I’m not sure if the thermostats work or what but going to bed at night was really warm. The kitchen had everything you need utensil wise along with salt and pepper. The views are spectacular. Our dogs sat by the window and watched the world go by. Our border loved watching everyone get on with the farm chores. And we were all very sad to leave! The roads around were a little daunting for us at first, but we were soon wizzing around and explored. There is a little town around 7 miles away with a fish and chip shop, spar, Chinese, takeaway and pub, and then a Tesco ect about 15 miles away. There is a little honesty farm shop on site, with long life milk, toothpaste ect along with meat from the farm and fresh eggs. Lots of knitted items and needle felted items made by the farm owners, aswell as handmade bits and bobs from locals (soaps, sculptures ect) and I did come back with a few items every time I went to get logs haha! All the prices were brilliant as well. We did also use the ev charging, it’s a simple QR code and the app will charge you £40, and then refund what you didn’t use the following day. The whole holiday was low contact which we liked, but anything we needed to know was in the welcome book. Lots of walks around, we found a little pocket park along the river with beautiful views when you get to the top of the “mountain”, a lake with waterfalls, although we went on a very windy and rainy day which was a little silly on our part, so we had to turn back. We also went down to the coast.

We found the cottage a bit to warm. We did totally turn the heating off and just used the wood fire. But we do live in a old house that is cold. So is likely just a issue with us.

"A very relaxing break away, will definitely return soon"

10.0

The property was immaculately clean and finished to a high standard. Beds very comfy. Everything you could ever need in the kitchen. A lovely welcome basket containing eggs, chocolate, biscuits and crisps. We loved the log burner. Didn’t use the hot tub as the weather was bad but when we book again in the summer we will use it.

"Relaxing. Clean. Cosy and comfortable."

10.0

The cottage has a good variety of bounds to sit and relax in. Nice open views of the fields ahead. The previous time we visited, a time in a hot tub was at an extra cost. This time, the hot tub was included within the cost and you have your own personal hot tub. And wonderful for little ones as there are farm animals in close proximity.

This is not a criticism in no way shape of form. However, do keep in mind that this is more of a place to relax rather than travel to other areas. Perfect for a winter break.
