Cosy home near NEC, BHX Bullring & Solihull

Convenient to Kingsbury Water (17 min drive) for parkrun. Convenient to NEC (10 min drive). Clean, comfortable. Good price when split between 3 friends. The host was very responsive to any issues.

Tea towels & dish rack in the kitchen would’ve been nice, but we made do without it.

Friendly polite host. Property was clean warm comfy and had everything you need. Definitely would book again.

You could tell the property had been well cleaned, in parts. The location was close to the NEC,.which is what we needed.

The word 'cosy' at the beginning of the title listing for this property, couldn't be further from the truth. I write this in care, because it is obvious from previous reviews, that this owner has had some issues with previous guests. That is not the case with us, we were there to work, eat and sleep, which is what we did. However, the massive stains on both of the sofa beds caused both of us to feel nauseus, stuck with only the floor to sit on otherwise. There were only pans big enough to cook for an army, in the kitchen, when there were only two of us. In dact we tried to boil a little water just for pasta one night and gave up, the pan was that large and wide that the water lost too much heat from the top to ever boil. The utensils, very basic, but also the cooking ones mostly all stained yellow. Again, I just felt a little disgusted and would not want to cook with them. One of the two frying pans looked like it had been stripped of its coating. There is no plug or bowl for the kitchen sink, meaning you had to sit a cup or something.over it to wash dishes. Then there were still, at least two, decently sized holes in the floor. Though these were no doubt from precious guests, they are a hazard. The bin is broken, with a good chunk out of the top too, bit risky if you have children. Cheap to replace but hadn't been done. Moving on to the bathroom, there is no shower mat,so either bring your own, or risk a slip! We checked high and low and never came across one. Toulet lid very cheap and completely slides around, especially if there is moisture in the air e.g. shortly after or before a shower. Bedrooms, basic, not cosy, almost clinical like the rest.of the house. The mattresses, if they can be called that, were like stiff foam. I was woken up through the night (being a side sleeper), with sciatic pains on the side I was laid on. Only one pillow, no option for more of required. All of this and barely any proper software furnishings.

It needs a good clean. Toilet wasnt clean, used tea towel, stained sheets although they smelt clean. Sofas werent that confortable.

Easy to find. Spacious and warm. Friendly and helpful host. Shops nearby. We were able to park our car on a side street next to the property.

A bath mat and some toiletries would be nice.

It was clean, the WiFi was good and we had plenty of hot water, just what we needed for a short stay.
