Lack of adequate fans for cooling.

The location was excellent - 1 steep block from main square ( <100M). Excellent views of the countryside - from both bedroom windows and the entire front porch(see photo included). All rooms had large windows doors and shutters - that opened onto the garden. The kitchen, dining room were spacious. Cool tile/stone floors. Good breezes through house as it's at the top of the hill. The owners don't speak English - but are very patient - we used google translate. And they responded quickly to all text messages from our phone. The den could sleep 2 more people on the L shaped couch. Montalcino makes a great home base for short day trips to Siena, Pienza, or Florence (by train ).

One bed was very firm, the other was soft. The beds were a good size - American "Queen" size? The free parking is 3 blocks away down a hill. But after a week we didn't even notice the walk. The bell tower rings every hour - but after a week I slept right through to 6 AM without even noticing it.

The house is amazing with a beautiful garden! It’s very well situated in the center of the town, and very spacious, bright, and comfortable. I will definitely come back for more!
