Everything was great. I was met by Cameron when I arrived who made sure the drive was clear of snow and the apartment warm. A nice little gift was left too. The place was very clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Bed was comfy. It was quiet and just the right location to explore the area.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Linda’s Retreats. The beautiful one-bedroom cottage fully met our expectations. The Christmas decorations truly stole our hearts and created a warm, cozy atmosphere. The owner paid great attention to every detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were pleasantly surprised to find the cottage already warm upon arrival, with an additional electric blanket in the bedroom — a perfect touch for winter days. As for amenities, the cottage was fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay; we didn’t miss a thing. Our stay coincided with very cold weather and heavy snowfall. As a result, not all roads were passable at the time, so we would like to extend special thanks to Cameron for her valuable advice, understanding, and quick responses. Her help was especially appreciated under these conditions. We highly recommend this place and would love to return!

The cottage was spotless and absolutely beautiful! We came for a New Year break, it was beautifully lit up and decorated for Christmas. The bed was very comfortable and the whole property was warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

Un véritable havre de paix au cœur des Cairngorms ! Les propriétaires sont passés nous saluer et étaient adorables, ils avaient préparé des petites attentions pour nous à notre arrivée, qui font une belle différence (nous avions même un sapin de Noël dans le logement) ! Le gite est très agréable, idéalement équipé quelle que soit la durée du séjour, on se sent immédiatement comme chez soi :) Il est également bien situé pour pouvoir rayonner tranquillement au coeur du massif, avec une position assez centrale, j'y reviendrai avec grand plaisir !

Die Unterkunft hat unsere Erwartungen erfüllt. Die Lage am Rande der Caringorms war wunderschön. Die Küche und die gesamte Unterkunft war erwartungsgemäß vollständig eingerichtet.

Es war sehr fußkalt, was auch durch Heizungen nicht verhindert wurde. Die Matratzen werden etwas zu weich. Das Wasser in der Dusche hatte sehr wenig Wasserdruck und dadurch hat das Duschen immer etwas länger gebraucht.

A lovely cottage with fabulous views over fields to the hills. Very comfortable, warm and well equipped and a great base for our minibreak exploring the area. A bonus to meet Cameron who was an excellent host. The village shop is well stocked and we enjoyed a delicious meal at the Clock House restaurant. A short and scenic drive to Ben Rinnes, the local Corbett, which rewarded us with with superb views from the summit.
