"Good location and base for Longleat"

A beautiful cottage in the heart of the countryside but close enough to amenities. Great size kitchen with very high ceiling. All the rooms were of a good size and perfect for the 5 adults that stayed. The master bedroom is on the ground floor with its own wet room en-suite. Perfect for people who don’t like stairs.

It was great. Nothing to dislike.

Wonderful old cottage with millpond in the gardens of the big house. Plenty of space and very comfortable beds. A safe enclosed front garden.

It would be better to have a picture of the millpond, so parents would take that into account.

We stayed here the first weekend in March for 2 nights to go to Longleat safari park on the Saturday. The cottage is spacious, well equipped and very comfortable in beautiful grounds. Fantastic location for Longleat. The underfloor heating and radiators made it warm and cosy despite sharp frosts on both mornings. We were 5 adults bringing our mother away for the weekend. All the beds were super comfy, the linens clean and soft and plenty of hot water for all. The owner introduced himself and was very welcoming with an invitation to explore as much as we wanted. Faultless in every way except trying to get taxis was a nightmare. I'd recommend getting this in placecwell beforehand. Fabulous steak dinnerl at the George Inn by the way. We had a great weekend!

Getting taxis was hard work. Nothing negative about tge property.

The cottage is spacious and very comfortable,clean, bright and welcoming. The property is very well equipped overall, with lovely bed linen and duck down duvets, and nothing lacking in the kitchen. Parking alongside the fence makes unloading very easy. Silvy, the owner, is very helpful and approachable and clearly takes great care of the place. We all agreed that we would like to return as we loved the experience. Very many thanks!

Could not access the radiator valve in the twin bedroom- could be an issue when the weather gets bad.
