布団が多くあってゆったり眠れた。

Very close to the lake, spacious and with all the facilities.

Can be cleaner.

Ein sehr schönes, traditionell japanisches Haus, etwas abseits des Trubels aber fußläufig vom See entfernt sehr ruhig gelegen. 2 “normale” Betten und ansonsten Tatami/Futons. Wir (Familie mit 5 Personen) fanden es sehr schön hier! Sehr netter Gastgeber.

建物ちょっと古いかな、環境は全然良いです。

I like that the host was jolly and accomodating, the location is good giving a homey vibe with the view of Mt. Fuji. The house is clean and comfortable.

Yes location is superb because of the peace and quiet of the sorroundings but the nearest convinience store is 6 mins. Drive away, so make sure that you have all you need before going to the place specially drinking water. Futons blankets and pillows are provided but sorry to say, it has smell like it was used several times and never washed. Although I appreciate the towels, smells clean.

It’s very spacious and homey, and amenities are complete. We loved how it felt like staying in a friend’s house. Lake Yamanakako was also at a walkable distance from the place — and every morning, you get to see Mt. Fuji from your doorstep. The host was also very amicable and accommodating; he made sure we had transport to the places we wanted to go to. :)

We arrived by car and the location is convenient to explore Lake Yamanaka.

Unfortunately, we encountered several significant issues that made our stay uncomfortable. Upon arrival at the original property we booked, we noticed the following problems: • The property was very cold. Despite the living room heating having been on for a few hours prior, the kitchen thermometer only showed 9°C. • The only air conditioner in the kitchen was not functioning. • One of the bedrooms had no heating at all. We had booked this property instead of local alternatives on the understanding that we would have three separate rooms, as we were a couple and two single adults. As the local temperature in this region was -2C at night, it was not an option to use the third room. -> The owner said that the third bedroom is usually not used, so don't book if you need 3 bedrooms • Some of the bedding was stained Given these conditions, we promptly contacted the owner to express our concerns and request a refund and to check out. Instead of processing a refund, the owner offered to move us to his second guesthouse next door, which was much larger and he claimed had underfloor heating throughout the house. We accepted the change, hoping for somewhere warm enough to sleep, with an elderly relative amongst our party. However, this alternative accommodation also fell far short of expectations: • The owner said the house would warm up within 1–2 hours, but this did not happen. • We went to bed wearing hats, scarves, and multiple layers to stay warm. • The temperature in the hallway was 3°C when we went to bed and only rose to 9°C by the next morning and never increased its temperature by the time we checked out 24 hours later. • The underfloor heating worked only in patches and not throughout the house. • The second bedroom was unheated. The only source of warmth was the heated blankets provided, without which it would have felt like sleeping outdoors (where temperatures dropped to -2°C that night).
