Stonewood Mountain Cabin

The cabin is lovely and the views are outstanding

I have already sent a whatsapp to the host but he hasnt responded - we had very little electricity our entire stay, just on Fri eve and again on Sun morning. I dont think this is solar dependant as it wouldnt make sense that the power would come on before sunrise (ie before the panels had charged again) - we had NO hot water our entire stay. I tried to reach out to the contact number but as there was no electricity anyway, the hot water pump would not have worked even if somebody had bothered to come out and look the geyser. The geyser was pouring water by the time we left - we could connect to the wifi but there was no internet - don't market yourself as having wifi if it is unstable - without electricity it would have been nice to have a roaring fire going but you couldnt have a fire without the electric chimney fan going as the entire cabin filled up with smoke. So no electricity = no fire - knowing the electricity is dicy, the host should be a bit better equipped for that - only one of the rechargeable lanterns worked and the oil lamps were either empty or the wicks too short to use

The location is very pretty, the kitchen was well stocked with crockery and cutlery

The furniture was old and the games were incomplete. The fire place did not have ventilation, it could use a good spring clean

The assistance is totally beyond PAR. The mainainence guy freaked the living crap out of the women and kids, personally, it felt that I will break his jaw. I think the scenario creates a suck environment for him. Like you get the feeling he is a sick freak, like he got a camera or 2 somewhere, totally sick feeling.

The troop of baboons and the baboon spider in the shower - very strong winds.

Absolutely everything. The amenities were impeccable.
