NEFELI castle stone house inside the fortress

One of the original stone houses built in Monemvasia, has the low entry and ceiling height appropriate for the time it was built, but perhaps awkward for anyone who is very tall. There is an upstairs bedroom and a street level bedroom with small windows to keep in the heat in the winter and keep it cool in the summer. The beds and furnishings were comfortable. We met the owner in the town square and she guided us to the house and provided keys. We went to local restaurants for meals. We loved this unusual accommodation and would return.

Είχε πολλή υγρασία χωρίς να έχει φροντιστεί να αποφευχθεί (πχ με θέρμανση ή αφυγραντηρες). Επισης , τα νερά από το μπάνιο έβγαιναν

Emplacement parfait, hôte extrêmement accueillante et qui nous a donné de supers conseils notamment pour une baignade matinale au pied du rocher. La maison est propre et très bien agencée compte tenu de la taille, il y a une climatisation aussi dans la chambre du haut.

La casa è posizionata al centro di Malvasia ma a distanza sufficiente dalla confusione in alta stagione, ma vicina all’unico accesso al mare (siamo stati in Agosto). La proprietaria è molto gentile e disponibile, ci ha anche suggerito l’ottima taverna in cui abbiamo cenato. Sembra la casa delle bambole! Una piccola camera con letto matrimoniale e altro letto matrimoniale sul soppalco. Davvero particolare. Il bagno (senza finestra) è un po’ angusto: il piatto doccia è il bagno stesso, ma è comunque fruibile, siamo stati una sola notte.

Το κατάλυμα είναι εξαιρετικό μέσα στην καστροπολιτεία. Ήταν όλα πεντακάθαρα. Η κυρία Σάννυ είναι εξαιρετικός άνθρωπος με απίστευτη διάθεση να μας καθοδηγήσει στα πάντα. Το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα.

The castle town of Monemvasia is in itself breathtaking and Nefeli is situated in a quiet & beautiful area, yet just steps away from the main road and the beach. Sanny really went out of her way to accommodate us ; big thank you!
