Dunnottar Cottage

The location of the property was excellent. We enjoyed the walks around the bay and to the nearby castle. Close to the towns amenities. The cottage was cosy, warm, colourful and well equipped for our needs. The beds in bedrooms were comfortable. We enjoyed staying in the cottage very much and would have no hesitation booking again or recommending it to our friends and family. Thank you for sharing your home with us

When booking , the property description said there was a sofa bed. There isn't. A very low and small z bed was provided in the dining room. It was not suitable for older adult use which caused us an issue for sleeping arrangements. Fortunately we managed to resolve it for our stay. The z bed may be suitable for a child's use.

Great location and met all our needs

Living room was very cozy and the cottage was a relaxing tardis.

Loved how responsive and helpful the hosts were. The whole cottage was beautifully presented, comfortable and welcoming. The ready made fire for day 1, very thoughtful. They even sourced a high chair for my daughter. It's conveniently located for everything too, close to some of the best coffee, restaurants, picturesque points and easy access to the start of the castle route. Absolutely love Maria's art and definitely want a piece for my home!

Lack of kitchen utensils! It's a problem in most holiday lets. Plenty of plates, bowls etc but no ladle or sieve. We bought a sieve in the end.

We loved the style of the property and the decoration it felt like home from home. The owners had put up Christmas decorations which was lovely. The bed was really comfy. It is situated on the harbour so great for walks and restaurants. Would stay here again.

The cottage was spectacular and very comfortable. I thought the personal paintings were a lovely touch.

We liked everything

The wood burning fire added such a cosy feel. Great location near harbour and restaurants, right on footpath to war memorial and Dunnottar castle. Lots of lovely handpainted art in the property.

Sign on window advertising property meant passers-by often stopped to peer in during our stay which was a little unnerving for our older relative. Staircase is quite steep so be mindful of that if travelling with anyone who had mobility issues.

Just the best location in Stonehaven!
