We didn’t get to stay in the property we booked because it was double booked for the first night. We were given alternative accommodation and offered the chance to move on the second night. The property is managed by a hotel Four Seasons in Aberystwyth. We went to look at this property and firstly the pool is FREEZING - unusable and the only reason we booked the property. It is leaking and being constantly filled up with a hose pipe from the garden. The rest of the property is in need of refurbishment. Overpriced.

Awful booking system. Freezing cold pool. Property is run down, broken window, needs to be fully refurbished and repaired. To top it all off our son left his Nintendo switch in the property, as soon as we realised (a few hours after we left) my brother went back to collect it for us and it was gone. The cleaners had been in and the hotel completely denied any wrongdoing even though we could see that there was an attempted new log in on the device. When the hotel spoke to their electrician he was even heard saying “well the cleaners obviously took it”. Reported it to the police but know nothing can/will be done. No offers of compensation from the hotel even though it is clear what happened.

booked the holiday and he had booked someone else in ,this is the 3rd time this has happened, before I was unpacking and someone else turned up to stay ,he has a no care attitude ,he seriously needs to sort out booking ppl in at same time

Hot tub

Filthy and scruffy. Contacted booking.com on day 1 about the following but never heard back from them: - Most things are dirty, broken and poorly maintained. - Layers of crusted urine in bathrooms. - Mould in bedrooms. - Bins overflowing outside. - Broken window in kitchen. - Broken bins with no bin liners. - Cracks in shower. - Litter on the grass in the back garden. - Litter actually floating in the swimming pool. - Pool cues broken. - Pool room dirty. - Sauna filthy. - Mattresses uncomfortable. - Not enough towels. - No bath mats so floors became slippy. - Not enough dinner plates. - Swimming pool not serviced. - Bird excrement all over pergola. This place is so overpriced it feels like we have been conned. We are extremely disappointed at how dirty the place was. Feel itchy just thinking about the place.

I would definitely avoid , I’ve always left a fair review on any place I’ve stayed being realistic knowing that previous guest may damage things but here …. I’ll start with facilities, first the hot tub, it that had brown slop in the bottom on the seats , second is the sauna which had dirty floor , worst of all the pool , after reading other bad reviews regarding the pool leaking I phoned before paying to check if the pool was working and was told the leak had been repaired and the pool was now fully functional , they even agreed to put the temperature up a few days before we arrived because we where bringing children and one was 18 months old. shortly after arriving a maintenance man came to tell us we would have to drag the house pipe round the house to the pool every day to fill it ip up as it was leaking . He also said there is a problem with the heater and it keeps cutting off so showed us how to climb through a large area of overgrown weeds to get to the controls to turn it back on which we had to do constantly during our weeks stay , but it didn’t reheat most of the time , it wasn’t a relaxing holiday at all as we where checking the pool all evening while it was filling which took on average 5 hours a night , so the pool is losing around 5000 gallons a day which I presume is going under the house hence the stench of mold , the pool was freezing most of the holiday so none of the kids would use it until the last day when a pool maintenance man had been again and it did warm up , I phoned the owner to tell him about the issues we where having , the first time he denied knowing anything about it having a leak and said he’d get it looked at , the second time(day3) he said if your not happy pack your stuff and go home but said he wouldn’t refund any money, I told him there was mold everywhere in the bedrooms and it stunk to which he replied yes that’s because the pool is leaking , the filter was absolutely full of hair and slime .

Facilities were great! Swimming Pool is a great size, additions of a BBQ, Hot tub, Sauna and games room kept us busy and entertained throughout. Lounge was really big and comfortable. Location very private and a nice decent size garden with outdoor seating covered area.

We had to buy our own table tennis balls, the net was broken and a snooker ball was missing.

This was our 4th stay and as ever we were very happy with the the house and the facilities, some previous issues had been dealt with since our last visit and when I had queries the reception staff over at the four seasons were extremely helpful and very quick to respond. The location is a lovely quiet village in an excellent spot for exploring and away from the hustle of the main tourist spots. The owner is always extremely easy to contact if needed and on this particular visit he popped in to check we were happy with everything which was a nice touch. Our teenagers have very complex needs and neurological disabilities, so the reliability of this property has been a god send to us, the facilities mean that we never have to worry about the weather because there's plenty to do at the house and the layout is ideal for our needs. As mentioned in another review there has been some recent damage to the outside table and a crack in the window, but I find it hard to fault the owner the for the lack of respect shown by previous guests and they were not issues that negatively impacted our experience. The pool and hot tub were clean suitably treated (we take our own testing kit to monitor because our kids use them a lot), the pool was lovely and warm and when we had an issue with the pool heater the pool tech was out within an hour to sort it, we didn't use the sauna this time but we've never had any issues with it. We love this place and the value for money is spot on considering its extensive private facilities, the beds and settees are very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you could need, we had the good fortune to be the first to use the brand new gas bbq which was great, the laundry facilities are an absolute necessity for families, the free WiFi is very reliable and there are large smart tvs in all the bedrooms. Thank you so much, we will be back.

Bed was comfortable, that was all about the property.

Dirty, broken windows, broken doors, doors that didn’t lock so we had to secure the door with a belt. Sauna filthy inside. Swimming pool filter was disgusting and didn’t look like it had been cleaned for months! Kitchen worktop had burn marks. Bedroom carpet had burn marks in. BBQ absolutely disgusting and unusable. Garden was in a mess, weeds and hot tub test strips left all over the garden. Rubbish in garden. Broken bin. Bathroom shower tray has a crack in it so felt very unsafe. En-suite bathroom tiles mouldy and black & shower head leaked. Blind off in bathroom but propped up against wall in bedroom. Curtains hanging off. Overall the place was filthy, absolutely ruined our weekend as no one wanted to get in pool, sauna or hot tub! AVOID.
